Swearing and its history

This opens up a number of questions about language and its effects, as well as the place of affect and violence in psychical and bodily life.

Eating and how we relate to food

This research involves clinical studies combined with an exploration of the place of food and diet in contemporary culture. Psychoanalytic ideas about orality, the drive and phantasy inform this.
